The Word in Action Foundation empowered Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) by providing them with start-up support to establish small businesses and sustainable sources of income.
The project identified vulnerable IDPs, provide basic entrepreneurship and financial management training, and support selected beneficiaries with business equipment, materials, or start-up capital appropriate to their chosen businesses.
Selected IDPs established viable small businesses, generate income, improve their household welfare, and become more economically independent.
Through this initiative, Word in Action Foundation aimed to help IDPs move from dependence to sustainable livelihoods and rebuild their lives with dignity.
